Reviews

I've known Marie Schoeppel for most of the past decade and have great respect for her work. Her new book The Dragon's Debt encompasses the history of financial panics and restructurings from 1284 through the 20th century and the culminating crisis period for China from 2019 to 2022. While this work is very heavy on the astrological causes, it is nonetheless full of economic determinates for panics. One could make a great deal of money following her roadmap of the Chinese crisis over the next few years.

The Dragon’s Debt is one of those rare and compelling works providing a feast of astro-data, a thorough appraisal of the planetary pictures at work during several major financial events of the 20th Century, and thoughtful forecasts of China’s role in the last years of the present decade and beyond. Marie’s passion for the subject shines through every well-researched chapter. This book is a must for astro-investors and for astrologers with clients who actively trade.

For those who understand there is a universal clock ticking, with every tick pulsating throughout the entire energy field of our known universe, this work will be recognized as brilliant. Marie weaves an understanding of historical events that impacted the financial well-being of its participants by dissecting them through the analytic of financial astrology. As we travel through time with her, she guides us by revealing the clues gleaned from the great configurations of the time. Whether it is the dynamic in the 13th and 14th centuries between the Kings of England and France, the Roman Catholic Papacy, and the surrogate banks, or more modern day financial crises, we observe a master at work with her craft. Those who think that astrology is simply some pantheistic gobble-lee-gook of symbols and labels can learn from this book how much more there is to financial astrology, how much work is required to glean insight and understanding from its application. Most importantly, for those who risk capital in the markets, this manuscript is timely and prescient. I have a high degree of confidence that we will look back at Marie’s analysis and timeline and marvel at the clarity with which she anticipated our shared future.

description

The Dragon’s Debt pinpoints specific dates when debt burdens within China are likely to affect global markets and gives scenarios of how a financial and political crisis will unfold.

The configuration involving the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the late degrees of Capricorn of 2019 and 2020 has a profound effect on China and the Chinese Communist Party. This configuration was last formed in 1284, and ushered in a time of financial crisis and social upheaval across Europe in the 13th-14th centuries.

At the same time, China will experience a cluster of the same influences that slammed the currencies of Southeast Asia and Russia in 1997-1998, collapsed the British pound in 1992, and deflated the currencies and economies of Brazil and Mexico in the 1980’s. These combined influences give strong potential to trigger a severe devaluation of the yuan, igniting a global financial crisis.

For those who use astrology to trade the markets, this crisis in China offers the trading opportunity of a lifetime.

Highlights of the Book

  • How the Saturn-Pluto configuration in Capricorn of late 2019 and 2020 affects the financial and political systems of China and the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.

  • Separate chapters devoted to analyses of severe currency devaluations in the last half of the 20th century, deriving a set of astrological conditions found to indicate such devaluations.

  • Timeframes and specific dates from 2019 through 2022 when China will experience a cluster of these same astrological conditions.

  • A detailed trader’s timeline (in its own chapter, with no astrological jargon) that gives specific dates when debt burdens within China are likely to affect global markets and gives precise scenarios of how a financial and political crisis will unfold.

  • 75 charts illustrating the astrological configurations involving national natal charts, secondary progressions, and transits.
