Fate hangs over your finances as Venus turns her glance backward. There may be a dramatic climax in the last two weeks of December, as Mars enters Sagittarius and conjoins the South Node. You are the fiery focus in this drama, having just done something outrageous as Mars in the last degrees of Scorpio was square Jupiter in Aquarius, near December 8, 2021. 

You feel your actions were justified, but you know you went over the top, Sagittarius, you just don’t want to admit it. You probably made an off-the-cuff remark that was a total gaffe, and you made it publicly, too. But it has had the effect of putting you in the spotlight, and also the hot seat. Work colleagues, especially superiors, may not approve.

But that’s the gist of your motive behind such remarks: letting off steam because you feel compressed and restricted in your work, or some area connected to your finances. You’re famous for your blunt honesty, and yes, it’s needed at times, and was probably needed to stir things up at this time. Colleagues at your level in the food chain are cheering you on, raising toasts to your audacity, but those higher up the chain are quietly taking notes and perhaps preparing to eat you for lunch.

You need the support of those in authority if you are to make the best of this Venus retrograde, which occurs in your sector of finances. It could be an excellent time for you to increase your income, but you seem to fail to see the bigger picture and you let an opportunity slip through your grasp as Mercury turns retrograde on January 14, 2022, just as it is moving to conjoin Saturn. Keep your wits about you, despite the Mars-Neptune square that occurs at the same time. You feel as if you don’t know what is going on, who is on your side, and you don’t know – that’s why it pays to don your best business suit and show deference to everyone. I know, I know, that’s just not your style, you’re a free and easy Sag, but you need money, just like us boring, unimaginative mortals. 

It’s fun to be the star for a day or two, but as the fireworks you’ve released fade, you could find yourself in an increasingly precarious position. You must be careful to not draw out the venom of a sneaky individual with your remarks. If you do, you may sense you’ve jumped into a snake pit, but you can’t see or feel your way as to where the dangers are. 

The thing is, the people you need have power over you. They aren’t fooling around with what they say and do during this retrograde period. They won’t laugh off your remarks.

So, zip your lips in December and January.

If you are able to discipline yourself and act with poised restraint, you can get the backing of powerful people. You just have to realize that they view your outrageous remarks and behavior as flaky; with them, you need to be dead serious and impress them that you’re responsible. Save the wild antics for your Youtube channel, for advertising your brilliant ideas to the masses. The people behind the scenes, who can invest in you, are hoping that the crazy you is just a façade for generating publicity. If they get even a whiff of “eau de lunacy” in their dealings with you, they will walk away.

View it this way, Sagittarius: yes, the “wild and crazy” you is the real you, and any conservative persona is your evil twin, so to speak, but just reverse the roles. Pretend you’re this drab, conservative business person, wear a long-sleeved shirt to cover up your tattoos, and keep a deadly serious look at your face; in other words, play hard ball with the big dogs. Let them think that your goofy smile and barefoot attire are just a marketing ploy, NOT the real you. Once they sign on the dotted line, you can relax, put your stinky bare feet up on the coffee table, and smoke a joint – but never in their presence. 

Your foundation of security has been shaky for some time, with Neptune moving through Pisces and your sector of domestic and family foundations. The situation in December 2021 may relate to that of March and April 2021, when your domestic arrangement or your core beliefs were challenged. You are really on slippery ground, and that feeling of being unmoored will grow more pervasive as Jupiter moves through Pisces from December 28, 2021 to May 10, 2022, and again from October 28, 2022 to December 20, 2022. 

Do you really want everything to melt into a blob? This is why it’s important to take seriously the opportunities and challenges of this Venus retrograde: you could shore up your material security if you do so, and counteract the dissipation that Neptune is relentlessly applying in the background of your life and psyche. Because once Jupiter, the other ruler of Pisces, joins forces with Neptune in Pisces, your life could become a swirling whirlpool that swiftly sucks away what security you do have, if you’re not prepared.

As Venus is conjunct Pluto as she turns retrograde, and Pluto is the co-ruler of Scorpio, the sign associated your sector of unconscious motives, hidden activities, seclusion and self-sabotage, this retrograde period is a perfect chance to do some purging of your inner world. There are issues from the deep, dark past that have become entrenched in the way that you value yourself, and which are attracting base individuals into your life. 

In order to purge these self-sabotaging tendencies, it is necessary to take concrete steps to root out unsavory relationships that are affecting you here and now. You don’t need therapy, you don’t need to realign your chakras, you don’t need to access your Akashic records. You need to rid your life of nefarious influences, and that includes nefarious people.   

You can be sure that you will realize, when both Venus and Mercury are retrograde in 2022 (January 14 through January 29), that someone in your life has been handed more control over your life than you can now bear. And you handed it to them. Accept this fact, but don’t wallow in self-pity or despair. You must act.

You are in a similar situation to Gemini, in that you are facing a long period of disentangling yourself from this influence. But you are in a much stronger position to move things your way, as long as you get determined to enforce boundaries and stop allowing others to manipulate you into what they want you to be and do. 

You may discover that someone has been very sneaky in their dealings with you, and has robbed you of some of your money or assets. This is another reason to be careful what you say, as you don’t need to give any private information away to this person, nor do you need to give them ammunition to then attack and manipulate you further into this mess.

Being absolutely serious can also help you get a trustworthy person on board with providing you with the support (possibly legal support) and information you need to prevail over the subterfuge this manipulator has perpetrated on you.

You may uncover the extent of what has been going on when Mercury and the Moon conjoin Pluto on January 28-29, 2022. It’s best to wait to confront anyone, as you’ll probably just be told a bunch of lies and false reassurances at the beginning of February. Continue to gather information from February 21 to March 2, which is also a time to seek legal advice. The Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction of February 28 through March 2 strongly favors your position, but you need to realize that your partner is NOT the best confidante in this matter. In fact, they may be the perpetrator, and they may be trying to consolidate their hold over your assets. Is there any hope for Sagittarius’s relationships? This Venus retrograde is more about money than love for you, but the Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction of February 28 through March 4 could bring someone who is interested in a long-term, serious relationship, who also inspires a lot of passion in you. They may be older than you, and bring considerably comfortable financial circumstances to the relationship. It could also be a case of a long-time suitor making a proposal. This feels wonderful to you! Wait until after March 27 to tie the knot.
